We are a cottage food business located in Forestville, Maryland 20747. Full address is provided in pick up confirmation email after placing order, and on invoices.

DO YOU OFFER CAKES DECORATED IN FONDANT?

 

 

All of our cakes are finished in our signature- silky smooth American or Italian Meringue Buttercream.

DO YOU OFFER ALCOHOL OR CANNABIS INFUSED CAKES/CUPCAKES/TREATS?

​

No, we do not offer alcohol or cannabis infused cakes and/or treats. 

​

DO YOU BAKE FROM SCRATCH?

​

Yes, we bake from scratch! We pride ourselves on crafting homemade, moist and delicious cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other gourmet desserts using the finest ingredients possible.

DO YOU OFFER VEGAN OPTIONS?

​

Yes, we offer vegan options. Most of our cakes and cupcakes can be made vegan. Looking for vegan options, shoot us an email. We are more than happy to assist you with this.

HOW DO I PLACE A CUSTOM CAKE ORDER?

​

We ask that you submit a "Custom Order Request Form" linked to our HOME page. Once you have submitted this form, please away 48-72 hours for a response. 

​

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER? 

​

We ask that all custom orders be placed 4 weeks in advance, but no later than 14 calendar days. We can not guarantee last minute orders. If we can accommodate your request, a 25% rush fee will be added to your order. 

​

IS THERE A DEPOSIT/RETAINER? HOW DO I PAY IT?

​

Yes, we require a retainer for all custom orders over $200 made 30 calendar days or further in advance. Your date is secured with a non-refundable 50% retainer payment. Your retainer payment and an electronically signed invoice/contract is due within 24 hours of invoice being sent. All last minute orders (13 days or less), or orders $200 or less must be paid in full. All last minutes orders will incur a 25% rush fee. Final payment is to be paid 7 days before pick up or delivery. You will receive a reminder email to pay to your invoice; and if not paid on time, a late payment fee of $25 will apply to balance to be paid within 24 hours. Your order will be canceled the second day late.

 

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

 

No refund are given. If TK Sweets N' Treats admit fault, we will refund part of an order. If you give TK Sweets N' Treats full creative freedom on your order and you are not satisfied with the end result, we will not refund your order.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY ORDER?

 

Once your order is placed, no changes can be made. There is a strong possibility that we have already outsourced products, started or may have finished cake toppers, or designed treat options for your requested order.

DO YOU OFFER DELIVERY?

​

Yes, we offer delivery upon availability. There is a $50 base fee plus $1.50 per mile from our pick up location. 

 

CAN MY FLORIST DECORATE MY WEDDING CAKE? 

 

No, your florist can not decorate your cake. Only authorized TK Sweets N' Treats staff are allowed to decorate your cake.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CUSTOM CAKE AND SIGNATURE CAKE?

 

Signature cakes can be purchased right at your fingertips. These are our fan favorites and are offered by the slice on select Saturdays and Sundays. They are great for small gatherings, simple birthday parties, last minute parties, holidays, and many other occasions. Signature cake flavors and descriptions can be found under the "shop" tab, subsection "cakes" above. We offer two different sizes, 6" and 8". These can also be made  into jumbo cupcakes and can be found under the "shop" tab, subsection "cupcakes" above. Feel free to add a custom Happy Birthday topper for an additional fee. Signature cakes and cupcakes are sold as is. NO customizations will be allowed.

Custom cakes are fully customizable to your liking. The best way to get a quote is to fill out our "Custom Order Request Form", also linked to our HOME page. We will do or best to deliver a quote based on the information provided to us. We strongly advise sending an inspiration photo via email.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Customer negligence: TK Sweets N' Treats is not responsible for the misspelling or incorrect details given by the customer. We will not fix anything that has already been confirmed. Please check all details listed on your invoice before submitting payments. We assume confirmation once we receive notice of payment.

Duplication of another artist’s work: Please be advised as TK Sweets N' Treats DOES NOT replicate cake or treat designs that were created by another artist or our own. We will not replicate our own designs as they were created specifically for previous clients, and/or we may no longer provide those services. Inspiration photos are just that...INSPIRATION. We will not be held responsible if you are not satisfied with your design. Within reason, we would make any necessary adjustments to the cake/cupcakes/treats only if it’s within the scope of the design we agreed upon.

Picking up your order: In the occasion you can not pick up your order, please shoot us an email or text. All our cakes/cupcakes/treats are made to order and are prepared from scratch with no added preservatives to ensure the best quality for our customers at the time pick up. If the customer fail to pick up at their scheduled pick up date and time, TK Sweets N' Treats will not be responsible for the aging of your prepare items (leaking chocolate covered strawberries, soggy macarons, dull and saggy florals, etc). If you would still like to collect your cake/cupcakes/treats feel free to do so on within our next available pick up hours. After 48 hours, if we have not heard back from you, your order will be discard of and no refund will be given. If you decide you no longer want your order, no refund will be given.

 

Traveling with your custom order/ Cake Care: Please place your cake/cupcakes/treat box on the passenger seat floor. No one should be holding your custom cake/cupcakes/treat box. It should NOT be in the trunk of your car or the seat of your vehicle. Please have your air conditioner on, and refrain from speeding, making sharp turns, and sudden stops. Once you get to your destination, REFRIGERATE. In the occasion you do not refrigerate or properly refrigerate your cake/cupcakes/treat box, TK Sweets N' Treats will not be held responsible. We will not fix or remake any items. Take out your items one hour before you’re ready to serve. Buttercream is best served at room temperature. ​TK Sweets N Treats is not responsible for any damages made your order once it leaves our care. ​
